Should Tiger plead Mea Culpa

All the Public Relations pros (I know) always tell folks to step up and take your medicine early. If you screwed up and it is a public story, then plea mea culpa immediately and try to get on with things. Tiger Woods is not taking that approach. He is trying to keep his head down and wait for the story to blow over (although the National Enquirer story about his affair is rumored to be published in early December). Now I have a lot of respect for the Public Relations professionals that I have worked with over the years (especially Jackie Gentle, Mark Palmer & Dave Monfried) but this is one of those theories with few statistics and plenty of anecdotal evidence. What do you think?
